    I Amsterdam... Again!

The first stop for our second day trip to Amsterdam is the Stedelijk Museum, currently exhibiting "Air World", a showcase of Design and Architecture for Air Travel. Apart from all the aircraft stuff, what intrigued me was another exhibition called The Falling Eye, a series of videos made my Saskia Olde Wolbers. Other galleries are homes to many modern installation arts, as pictured below...

Our second stop was the Nemo Museum, designed by Renzo Piano. It was actually more of a science & discovery centre for kids. Hence, we spent more time hanging outside the museum, admiring the iconic architecture. We did go in but didn't pay to enter the exhibition areas. But I did buy a book about the building from the gift shop and we saw loads of children enjoying themselves in there.

On our way towards the train station, we came across a pretty nice building, whose facade and roof is shaped from a single piece of metal sheeting (not Kalzip...). It turned out to be an architecture centre where visitors can get information regarding famous architecture in Amsterdam. The curator was a practicing architect now volunteering there, and she was kind enough to let us see the whole building!

After that, we went to a flea market before heading back home via train. We did make a stop just before Amsterdam Central to try out their Fritz, which is actually a pack of fries in an inverted paper cone, topped with mayonaise and satay sauce...
