    TU Delft

We still have quite some trouble navigating through the city centre. Even though it was not big, the facades of the buildings were somewhat repetitive. We had a pretty hard time trying to get to Rabobank branch in Delft centre, only to realize that it was only two turns from where we started off! Well, no point hurrying in the laid back town of Delft; we should go with the flow... however slow it is :)

Above are three shots taken from within the school compund. A better shot of the famous library, and a intriguing construction with steel exoskeleton and textile interior right outside the faculty of architecture. Found a shorter route from the school straight to my hostel that crosses under the railway. Boy was I happy when I saw that a mall, 4 supermarkets and both Rabobank and ABN-AMRO banks were a minute's cycling away from my hostel! Now I only wish that within my hostel building there is laundry and that I won't have to share the toilet or kitchen. Sigh, but that is quite unlikely...

The school's sited outside of the town centre, in the "New Delft", where we see more roads and taller buildings be it residential / commercial. Waterways are much wider than those in the city centre too! Above are some photos of buildings found there. And there you have it: a printscreen of myself and Chet web-camming on the msn :)
