    Bon Voyage~

The day has finally come! Yesterday, my family and friends were there to see me off as I stepped across the barricades and strided towards the KLM Flight 838 scheduled to take off at 2255 for Amsterdam. From left to right: Rickass my elder brother, my parents, myself and Chet. I was stopped by the customs officer when I showed her my new Biometric passport, "Hey, ain't this the new passport? You wanna try the automated barricades over to the left? It's totally self automated so you better learn now so you don't have to queue when you come back!" I was like... okay...? And so I did. The machine was user friendly enough. Just feed in your passport, scan your thumb-print, and the barricades similar to those in MRT would open up!

My architecture course mates: Cheryl (stealing a look at Ju... OMG), Yonghui, Zhengmei, Chowmeng and myself. Matthew couldn't make it due to personal reasons, but still called to bid farewell. Here's wishing that all his worries will all dissolve soon, and a great semester ahead or all my classmates!

The flight was long but still bearable. No personal LCDs, not much leg room, but I would say that the food was pretty decent, and the service is excellent. 12 hours later, we landed in Amsterdam Schiphol airport. We waited until 7am till the train service started and went straight to Delft from there. The station platforms were right underneath the airport so we didn't need to go outdoors, but we did anywayz. The weather was excellent, as if a higher entity up there switched on the air conditioning for the world!

There are double / single deck trains. The one we took was single. The train ride took 45 minutes. Following that, we took a cab to where my companions live, on 8 Papenstraat. It was a fully furnished house equipped with everything you could think of. As for myself, I could only move into my house on the 1st September. Before that I'll be bunking over in their wonderful apartment.
