    Laptop Repaired

Well, to you it might just be 2 posts, but to me, it was 4 days of pure agony! But alas, finally got my laptop fixed. It was a really stressful period of time. First, i "checked in" my laptop to the repair shop, A-tembo, which was recommended by Tijl, my dutch friend. The receptionist said, "1 week". I told him I need to at least know if they can fix it. He said he'll call me.

    Monday, shop not opened...

Tuesday 0900, went to their shop. Made alot of noise, ask them to at least diagnose it first so I won't waste my time waiting if they realize they cannot repair it!

Wednesday 1200, went to their shop again. Made alot of noise again, ask them to... you know.

Wednesday 1645, before their shop close, I went over again. This time, my laptop was on the table, and the technician was working on it. I asked him, "how?" He said, "I think i fixed it. Bad sector, moved to the back. It should work."

Eyes opened wide with relief. "REALLY? That's GREAT! Thanks! How much do i owe you?"

"Nope. I didn't do much, so no charges. Sorry for having you wait so long though..."

    "You're kidding."

    "Nope. I won't charge you."

"Thank you thank you thank you!!!"

So... as a token of appreciation, here's their shop logo. Is it just coincidence that it is an elephant...? Anywayz, must also thank Craig and Ju and Elita, for helping me by lending me their laptops over the past few days. Craig and I wanted to try out the landlord's computer in their place as it was my "last resort" in case my laptop fails. So in the morning we did. The moment i switched it on, the fan turned.... then the com DIED! Talk about bad luck. We still don't know what's wrong with it...

The ordeal is finally over... Thanks pa and MZ for offering to buy me a new laptop too... But heng ah, don't need. Let's hope my lappie stays fine...
