    10 more days...

...to submission. This submission, i dunno... It's unusual because there isn't much design. It's a submission for your pre-design phase, all the way until sketch design only. It's also unusual because we were let known of the deliverables only a few days ago. It was a quick decision made by a staff and an admin officer, faster than you can say "24 A3 sheets, or 6 A1 sheets... or one whole g.d. presentation panel". We're actually given the freedom to choose how you want to present, no more size restriction (but must fit within on panel lah...) Guess this freedom is most welcome...

Personally I feel like doing an A3 booklet, and squeeze everything inside it. The booklet will be placed for the panel's perusal during the presentation. Then for the pin-up I'll just put the district plan (1:1000) and site plan (1:500). Then there is the power-point which will be the main tool of communication... Hmmm this is most unusual too. I mean I would actually feel safer if I pin-up every shit I got on the panel where everyone can see it, rather than put it in an obscure booklet? Maybe I'll print 2 booklets... 6 A1 panels is $60, the way I'm going will probably cost more. Still, though it's visible, I doubt anyone will look at what's pin-ed up if it's small in font size... So... might as well... Maybe talk to the kampung boys about it.

Anyway with YQ's recommendation and company, I went to check out the thesis done by a senior by 2 years who goes by the initials RC. Wow... Totally inspired. For this submission I want to try something like what he did, as in... in terms of presentation. It's damn interesting I'm telling you.

There's something about the kampung boys anyway. This atelier thing has sorta segregated us, inevitably. 2 in tech core, 2 in urban core, each with their own schedules. It's hard to follow what each other is doing. Maybe when it's submission preparation like now, we can work on our own stuff together (but i doubt that... what good is it anyway? sometimes it's just better to MYOB and don't think too much about it, if i can help it). But like YQ says its a 2v2. I think he means our way of working, which seriously isn't very philosophical compared to the other 2. Them gay boys really think deep. I hope it didn't sound wrong :

Toys? Not much about toys. Stopped buying when the Krabi trip was more or less finalized... Must save some money for the holiday... But there isn't much toys to buy lately too. For Marvel Legends I'm down to my last real want, Deadpool... Will catch up with DCSH as the new year comes by.

Work during the holidays? Just received an e-mail telling us there's an urgent employer looking for someone well versed in SketchUp. That's me man... but alas, there's commitment in the HP model. Saw the plans that they sent over. Some of the most vague plans ever... I think you get what you give, so I'm not too worried about the outcome :) We'll be professional, but if the limitation comes from your employer, what can you do?

Tutorial's starting in 5 minutes. Darn...
