Genting Wkend Getaway~!
Took the wkend off for a short trip to Genting. First World Hotel having some kinda promotion... Buy one day stay get another free! We seized the opportunity and made a hasty decision to leave the last wkend :) Weather's superb there! Can get quite foggy though (see above). Check out the ugly paintwork on our hotel (see below).
Day 2 started after breakfast buffet provided by First World. Err... So so only... not very tasty, but filling nonetheless...
Chet loves the spinner. Took out my camera half way during the ride to take a few snapshots. Lucky camera didn't get flung out. Hoho... -.-"
This is a new attraction called the Sky Coaster... I think. Anywayz the ride places you in a superman kinda position lying down on a tray on your stomach. Quite a fun ride, but can't go for unlimited number of times cause it's pay-per-ride... for now lah, probably cause it's new.
Tried this Space Shot by myself. Chet doesn't like the zero-G feel. Basically it brings you up a tower some 10-15 storeys high before dropping you. I think the climb was scarier than the drop itself, for the drop is quite short-lived, but the climb took ages. Kept wondering how come so long still not yet reach???
Back in the room. Showing off our outdoor themepark day pass before tearing them off :)
We spent more money on food than anything. Particularly worth mentioning was the dinner buffet we went for after spending a day outside in the theme park. The chefs at Coffee Terrace Genting Hotel sure did a fine job churning out great tasting delicacies... Yummy... Confirm will visit again next time I go Genting!
Transtar coaches turned out to be pretty comfortable (we wanted to go for Grassland and 5 Star but both travelling agencies were fully booked for the wkend we wanted to leave). Check out the spacious chairs with massaging options (machiam Osim...) and individual television LCDs. Cool siah.
A few weeks ago there was this art exhibition in Page One Vivocity, showcasing some young artists' works. Was particularly touched by the drawings of Otani Ryuji. Check out his portfolio at OtaniRyuji.com. Very nice pencilling and simple photoshopping of black and white people and vehicles... Wish I can do hair like him.
